DENVER (KDVR) — It's a jam-packed weekend for concerts, races and festivals. There's something to do every day this weekend, but make sure to get out on Saturday where most of the fun is happening. The Pinpoint Weather team said the weather this weekend will be full of sunshine with temperatures in the mid-90s and a few light storms on Friday. DENVER (KDVR) — The United States Postal Service is holding a job fair in Denver this weekend.USPS is anticipating thousands of upcoming job openings. The service said 29% of its current workforce will be eligible to retire in just four years. Plus, the busy holiday season is just a few months away.So, there will be a lot of jobs to be filled. These are the highest-paying jobs in Denver Those positions range from mail carriers to IT techs, and even medical staff. There are trained and untrained positions open.The USPS job fair will be held Saturday, Aug. 19 at Denver’s General Mail Facility, which is located at 7500 E. 53rd Place. (CNN) — Sam Asghari, husband to Britney Spears since June 2022, has made a statement on social media after filing for divorce from the pop singer on Wednesday.“After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and i have decided to end our journey together,” Asghari wrote on his verified Instagram Story on Thursday. “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and i wish her the best always. With the school year underway in Miami-Dade parents struggle to find things for their kids to do after school. “I’m a single mother, I work Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5 p.m.,” said parent, Pamela Gomez. A new tornado warning has been issued for parts of Norfolk and Plymouth counties in effect until 10:45 a.m., the National Weather Service announced.The warning includes communities near Stoughton and further west through Rockland and Scituate, Mass. It is coinciding with a separate severe thunderstorm warning running from the Mansfield area into Boston itself.The latest tornado warning also follows prior tornado warnings for parts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts Friday morning. SAN DIEGO -- A brush fire burning in the Potrero community prompted evacuations Thursday afternoon.The fire broke out near Coyote Holler Road and Round Potrero Road, Cal Fire San Diego said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. By 3:20 p.m., the fire, dubbed the "Coyote Fire," had grown to 200 acres and was burning at a moderate rate of spread, fire officials said. As of 5:12 p.m., the fire doubled in size to 400 acres.Cal Fire San Diego gave an update on the blaze at 8:18 p.m., saying the fire remains at 400 acres and is 5% contained. Another update was given at 6:39 a.m. Friday morning, with Cal Fire saying the blaze is now at 466 acres and is 10% contained.
