ST. LOUIS – An internal memo distributed to St. Louis police officers—and obtained by the FOX Files—reveals there were not enough dispatchers in the city this past Saturday evening.St. Louis Police Officers' Association Business Manager Joe Steiger said the staffing shortage is nothing new."This has been going on for a long time," Steiger said. The memo shows there were not enough dispatchers to cover all six of the city's police districts. As a result, districts had to share the radio frequency with other districts.Steiger calls it overwhelming, not only for the dispatcher but also for the officers."It's too much. It's too stressful on them. It's too much to handle," Steiger said. "It's not safe for them, the citizens, or the police officers."According to sources, a dispatch supervisor wrote the memo. Brewers veteran right-hander Freddy Peralta stared down the Kid Rockies Monday night. It was not a fair fight.Peralta dominated with a capital D, tying a career-high with 13 strikeouts over seven innings in Milwaukee’s 12-1 cruiser at American Family Field. Peralta allowed just one hit, didn’t walk a batter, and set down the final 20 hitters he faced. He threw 31 swing-and-miss pitches. In other words, he was close to perfect.Peralta’s lone mistake was giving up a solo homer to rookie shortstop Ezequiel Tovar in the first inning. After that, Peralta was untouchable. It should come as no surprise that the Rockies were helpless against a veteran pitcher who was on his game. They entered Monday night with a team strikeout rate of 24.9%, the third-highest in the majors behind the Twins (27.2%) and the Mariners (26.3%).Rockies’ rookies were particularly vulnerable to Peralta’s rising, 95-mph four-seam fastball, wicked slider and back-bending curve. BOULDER — Where the Good Lord gave the rest of us hands, He bestowed Travis Hunter with a pair of pillows, soft and sure.CU’s new two-way star is a Mega Millions ticket in cleats, a magic lamp that can cut on a dime. The only limits are Sean Lewis’ imagination and Deion Sanders’ patience.“I want to play all the snaps,” the Buffs cornerback/wide receiver said Monday as Camp Preseason Prime hit Week 2. “I want to play all of them. I don’t like to be off the field. Being off the field, on the sideline, is boring.”Hunter does not do boring. Or small. In a league with at least six NFL quarterbacks running around, led by USC signal-caller and 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams, the affable Georgian was the only man to take up multiple slots on the preseason All-Pac-12 first team, at defensive back and all-purpose/special teams.“I mean, I pretty much block all that stuff out until it’s time to go,” Hunter said of the summer love. “I mean, I (will get) into that stuff aft...CHP investigating deadly Riverside hit-and-run

Cowabunga! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are finally in a movie worth watching. As directed by Jeff Rowe and written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, their latest adventure has a distinct sugar rush vibe, which makes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem feel like the comic books that captivated youngsters in the first place.Unlike the bland denizens of most superhero flicks, these vigilantes are stuffed to the shell with raucous character traits, pizza and soda. The same kind of boundless energy we saw in Rowe’s The Mitchells vs. The Machines fuels the turtles’ heroic missions, and it usually ends with someone ordering fast food. These dudes are on a diet that would make most doctors faint, but thankfully they burn off those calories with karate lessons in their underground lair, where they hide out with a giant rat (Jackie Chan) who’s been looking out for them for years. He knows what the world would do to a bunch of talking turtles.Still, teenagers Michelangelo (Sh...Antioch city manager names next acting police chief
